What kind of service is yourgpconsultation.com?
It is a private online video consultation service regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our patients pay for doctor’s consultation in slots of 15 minutes and can book up to 2 slots. Where indicated following a doctor’s consultation we write prescriptions, referral letters, fitness letters and we provide travel health advice. The mode of payment is by a valid UK debit or credit card, and it is on a fee-for-service basis. We can negotiate and agree on terms and conditions on a subscription and for third-party payers such as health insurance, corporate sponsors, etc.
What is the waiting time for doctor’s appointment at yourgpconsultation.com?
Currently, our service is open 10 hours a day, 5 days a week but we hope that in the future we can stay open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our admin offices are open from 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. You can book an appointment to see a doctor at your convenience based on available slots as early as the next day.

Can I add my spouse and children to my account with yourgpconsultion.com?
No. They will have to create their own account and book a doctor’s appointment by themselves (where necessary with your assistance). They can do this directly through our website at www.yourgpconsulting.com. If you introduce them to us, we can send a direct email to their email address with information about how to open an account and to book a doctor’s appointment.
Can one open a family account with yourgpconsultation.com?
No. We only offer individual accounts. The process of registration to open an account and to book a doctor’s appointment is easy. If any of your family members who are 18 years and above have any difficulties, please contact us at Enquiries@yourgpconsultation.com and one of our team will be happy to help.
Does yourgpconsultation.com provide consultation to children?
No. We only provide consultation to people who are between 18 years and 65 years old and who have capacity to make decisions about their care. Please book an appointment with your registered, regular GP for a face-to-face consultation for your child. Please call NHS 111 in case of an emergency.

How do I book an appointment?

Follow the onscreen instructions to book an appointment
To register with us, we will ask you to provide some form of identification and to verify your account. We will also ask you to provide some information about yourself, your past medical history, and your current complaints or symptoms. If indicated you may want to upload a photo about your complaint, result(s) of relevant tests, and any doctor’s notes to our doctor.
We accept forms of photo identification such driving licence, travel passport, etc., for your identification. To verify your identity, our doctor will request for your photo identity document at your video consultation do make sure that it is with you at consultation.
Can I reschedule my doctor’s appointment?
Yes. But we require 24 hours’ notice. Please send an email to Reschedule@yourgpconsultation.com stating the reason for rescheduling. You will need to book and pay for a new appointment while we process the refund for the rescheduled appointment. Please note that you can only reschedule once to enable us serve other patients.
Can I cancel my doctor’s appointment?
Yes. But you need to give us 24 hours’ notice by sending an email to Cancellation@yourgpconsultation.com providing the reason(s) for cancellation, to enable us to offer the appointment to other patients. We will refund your consultation fee in full within 7 to 10 working days to the card that was charged during the booking of the appointment if you give us 24 hours’ notice. If you inform us of your cancellation less than 24 hours before your appointment, this will be regarded as late cancellation and we will not refund your consultation fee.
What happens if my doctor is late for the appointment with yourgpconsultation.com?
Sometime unexpected circumstances may affect the availability of a doctor for your appointment, for which we apologise. You will receive notification about this and be given an option for the next available appointment slot, a rescheduling, or a cancellation. If your appointment is cancelled under this situation, your consultation fee will be refunded to the card that was charged during the booking of the appointment.

How do I prepare for my scheduled doctor’s appointment?
Ensure that your device is connected to WIFI and that you have Internet connection.
Ensure that you are in a quiet and private place preferably at home.
Login to your account on our website or App about 10 minutes before your consultation.
Follow the onscreen instructions to get into the video consultation room and then follow the onscreen instructions.
Will I receive alerts and reminder to my scheduled doctor’s appointment?
Yes. You will receive email notification about your appointment. Please enter your appointment on the calendar of your smart device to be reminded.
What happens at your doctor’s appointment with yourgpconsultation.com?
In the video consultation room, you will be able to see the doctor on the screen and the doctor will see you. The doctor will treat you courteously and will ask you some questions about the health reason(s) for which you are consulting. The doctor will ask you about your past medical history and other questions that may be necessary to help the doctor under your health needs. You will also be able to ask the doctor questions and the doctor will discuss with you and partner with you to take decisions regarding your care. Such decisions may require issuing a prescription, writing fitness, or referral letters. Our doctors provide patient-centred care to all our patients.
What happens after your appointment with yourgpconsultation.com?
If your doctor’s consultation resulted in a prescription, it will be sent to your preferred accredited pharmacy for collection. If it resulted in a fitness letter, or a referral letter, they should be available for download from your dashboard or your account after within 24 hours of your consultation.
What do I require for video consultation with yourgpconsultation.com?
You need to be between 18 years and 65 years old.
You need to have mental capacity to make decisions about your health care.
You need to have access to a computer, tablet, or smart phone with functioning video and audio features.
You need to have a recognised form of identification in the UK.
You need to have a functioning mobile phone number and an email address.
You need to be able to communicate in English (we do not provide translation service).
You need be in a well-lit and quiet place/location at the time of your consultation.
You need strong Internet connection preferably 4G WiFi.
Booking specialist appointments
Can I have a full health check appointment with yourgpconsultation.com?
No. A full health check service will require physical examination and some investigations that we are not able to provide via online consultation.
Can I have a routine health assessment with yourgpconsultation.com?
No. We offer a video consultation doctor’s appointment service. We are however developing a Health Assessment tool where you will be able to complete a short questionnaire at the end of which general feedback will be provided. This, however, will not replace seeing your doctor.
Can I book to see a specialist doctor through yourgpconsultation.com?
Yes. You will however need to book a doctor’s appointment with us for one of our doctors to ascertain why you want to see a specialist to decide on a referral letter. If you will want to see a private specialist through yourgpconsultation.com video service, we can arrange that for you subject to availability and payment terms.
Does yourgpconsultation.com provide sexual health and contraception services?
Yes. You will need to book a doctor’s appointment to see one of our doctors who are well trained and qualified to provide advice. If your condition requires face-to-face appointment with a private specialist, we will refer you to them. You also want to check NHS sexual health clinics close to you for information on booking appointments directly with them.

Can I let my regular GP to know about my doctor’s appointment with yourgpconsultation.com?
Yes. When booking your doctor’s appointment, we will let you know that we will share details of your consultation with your GP so that your GP can have your up-to-date medical records.
You have the option to opt out of this if you wish, but for continuity of care, we recommend that the details of your consultation are shared with your regular GP.
How is my information with yourgpconsultation.com used?
All your health records and related information are used to deliver health care service to you and to send you updates if you have subscribed to the health newsletters and blogs of members of Alevyn Ltd, UK. We take all necessary measures to secure and protect your information to ensure privacy and confidentiality.
Prescription services
Does yourgpconsultation.com offer a repeat prescription service?
No. You will have to book a doctor’s appointment to assess your needs and work with you to decide on whether you require a prescription. Please note that this is a fee-paying service which requires the cost of consultation and the cost of writing the prescription. You will also be required to pay for the prescription at your preferred pharmacy.
Can my medication be sent to me by yourgpconsultation.com?
No. We do not currently provide a medication delivery service. Your prescription will be sent to your nearest or preferred accredited pharmacy from whom you will collect your medication.
